Sand and active carbon filtering systems
The sand and active carbon filtering systems produced by WATER SYSTEMS, manufactured in stainless steel to ensure maximum compatibility with food processing and long-lasting service, are designed to filter flowing water and remove unwanted substances. These plants are used in water treatment for mineral water production or as ingredient in brewing, soft drink production, etc.

Sand filters are usually employed to remove suspended substances in the water from wells, to remove iron, manganese and arsenic and, in general, to improve organoleptic qualities of water intended for human consumption.

Typical applications of active carbon filters include oxidizing substances removal (ozone, chlorine and its derivatives, peracetic acid, hydrogen peroxide, permanganate), removal of organic substances that can generate unpleasant taste and smell, removal of pollutants traces such as pesticides and trihalomethane and, in general, improvement of the organoleptic qualities of water intended for human consumption.
